Product Description

Macular degeneration gradually causes central vision loss, but edge vision is not lost. OHBIG 8D/100mm aspheric lens provides true 3x power, 95mm large field of view, and distortion-free image. Patients can use edge vision for reading and checking. Accompanied by light-sensitive, OHBIG also provides Ra>90 ring illumination, four levels of toning, and five levels of brightness adjustment.

Many senior artisans overuse their eyes for a long time, causing eye diseases and even losing many unique skills. The universal 1/4" screw hole at the OHBIG handle bottom can add external arm parts and make users hands-free to do more detailed work.

World's Giant Size 8D Aspheric Lens

Taiwan National Central University (NCU) Department of Optics and Photonics designed the optical. OHBIG 8D Aspheric lens is a diameter of 100mm, simultaneously the world's giant 8D lens. It can help people of different ages or visually impaired:

1. Macular degeneration patients are central visual field defects. They can use their side vision to see more comfortably.

2. Preschool children and kindergarten students can perform cognitive training and operate teaching aids.

3. From elementary school to university, students can quickly write a comfortable angle.

4. Long-time workers can use cold light to check. Add the arm parts to be hands-free to do detailed work. It would avoid the overuse of eyes.

5. The elders can use warm light and read comfortably in a wide field of view. Add the arm parts to be hands-free. They do not need to be held by one hand and can do needlework, handicraft, and cut nails themselves.

Japanese Optical-Grade Material / Ultra-Durable 5H Hard-Coating

The 8D lenses are made in Taiwan, and we use Japanese optical-grade high-transmittance plastic PMMA to enhance the brightness. Compared with glass lenses, optical-grade PMMA is light in weight and safe; even drop it accidentally. A Hard-Coating surface hardening coating processes OHBIG 8D aspherical lens. The measurement reaches 5H pencil hardness and will not produce scratches under daily wiping.

Personalized Lighting Adjustments

In the past, Low-Vision brand magnifiers only used single color temperature for illumination. If you want to change the color temperature, you need to buy a new handle or install a tiny color filter.

OHBIG has 4 color temperatures lighting, warm white (3000K), neutral white (4000K), day white (5900K), and cool white (6500K). OHBIG also provides 5 levels of brightness adjustment. The maximum illuminance is about 600 Lux at 12cm. You can quickly press two buttons to control a total of 20 kinds of lighting modes.

Museum Grade Ra>90 Ring Lighting

OHBIG provides a Ring Light module and a diffuser. There will be no vignetting when reading. Even if you look at highly reflective objects such as metal, it will not be too dazzling. Using Ra>90 color rendering LEDs, primarily used in galleries and art museums, can make objects look close to the natural color under ideal light, achieving immersive visual enjoyment. For the visually impaired, high-color rendering lighting sources have the opportunity to improve their visual quality.

Universal 1/4" Screw-Hole Design

Are you having trouble with a magnifying glass in one hand and a book or work in the other hand? Do the elders feel sore after holding it for a long time? A 1/4" standard screw hole at the bottom of the OHBIG handle. It can connect with an external accessory bracket and then be adjusted at various angles to avoid discomfort caused by poor posture for a long time.

Using AA batteries and can plug-in USB Type-C for continuous use. In battery mode, it will automatically shut down at 30 minutes. Reduce the consumption of batteries by workers. For the elder's safety, the battery will not charge by USB.
